What's Going On?
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
The Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round
I arrived at Barley village car park in the hope of a quiet walk up Pendle Hill. However it was the day of a Pendle Hill Fell Race and the car park was nearly full.
Lower Ogden Reservoir (Obviously)
I walked up past the Ogden Reservoirs and then along the route of Ogden Clough. It's a dull day, but dry and calm.
Ogden Clough
It's quiet up here and the only downside is boggy paths.
The Flags
After Ogden Clough it's across the flags to the summit, they seem to go on forever.
Pendle Summit
Heather (l) and Dave
Hello, Hello! What have we here? "Old" friends Dave and Heather Croll are at the summit waiting for the runners. Dave is a member of Trawden Athletics Club and claims to be injured, so he is taking photos rather than getting dirty and out-of-breath.
Runners
Each unto their own. I prefer to take it easy with my camera for company.

Pendle Hill
The Leader
I walked down the flank of Pendle with Dave and Heather and across Barley Hill to the finishing line. The runners had taken a somewhat longer route around the back of Pendle. This chap will have won the race, we are near the end.
The Finishing Line
Busy Barley
I wonder how many folk put a pound in the honesty box?
Walkers: On my own as far as the summit and then joined by Dave and Heather for the descent. Trawden AC.
Time taken: 2hr and 20 minutes over a distance of about 6 miles, with waiting time on top as the runners filed past.
Route: Barley, Ogden Reservoirs, Ogden Clough, The Flags, Summit, Flank, Barley Hill, Barley.
Weather and conditions: Dull, calm, bit of a breeze on top.
Greetings Count: Very quiet until the top, then all those fit and healthy types came running along. Not many walkers about.
Take me back to the start ....
