Pendle Hill
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
Nelson
I had sat in a trance as an episode of Emmerdale drifted by. Then I noticed the sun shining across the avenue and a quick look outside suggested clearing skies and the opportunity for a walk. There were showers around; the dark clouds and sunshine offered photo opportunities.
Pendle Hill
Taken from the road near Roughlee on the way to Barley.
Rainbow
Start time of 20:10 at the roadside.
Pendle Ascent
Twenty-two minutes from car to the top of the steps, my PB is nineteen, running not allowed, nor desired.
The Stile
A shower cloud awaits its turn to assault East Lancashire, currently sitting over the Preston area.
Black Moss Reservoirs
The huge shadow of Pendle Hill is cast across the fields of Barley.
Sheep
Pendle Summit
Pendlers, Pendling
Some of my favourite photos are of the unknowns who pass with a smile and a nod on the slopes and top of Pendle Hill.
