The Shadow
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....

Barley
19:15hrs in Barley and I have plans for an out and back from this popular Pendle village. It's a bright night.

Country House
The route from Barley to Pendle Hill passes a few houses, this one in particular has a magnificent garden - Well Done!

Pendle Farm
Looking back at the last bit of the walk from Barley before the steps. Fell Wood is in view.

Shadowlands
It's a great evening for a walk excellent views and visibility.

Pendle Shadow
I think that's the best shadow I've had on Pendle! It's all about the time of day and time of year, if you know what I mean.

Pendle Sunset
Plenty of "me" time up here. Then a few others sauntered along, all easy paced, no runner or rushers.

Pendle Hill Summit and Sunset
I had intended to return much the same way, but in the event I decided to take the Boar Clough / Ogden Clough route back - guaranteeing another hour of solitary walking!

Brierfield Mills
As shown on my last walk (7th August).

Walker
I was rather surprised to be passed by another walker near the top of Boar Clough. He was going to ascend the ridge ahead - Spence Moor - and then make his way back to his start point somewhere on the Clitheroe side.

Upper Ogden Reservoir
