~Pendle Hill~
7th April 2011
Hard Work
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
The Track
The track up the left side of Pendle Hill, when climbed from the roadside, is wider and less steep than the steps on the right.
Fell Wood
Lower Ogden Reservoir and Fell Wood, with Nelson (part of) and Brierfield also in view.
Pendle Summit
I knew I'd be too early for a good sunset opportunity and as it was rather breezy, I wasn't going to hang around.
Black Moss
The Black Moss Reservoirs are in the shadow of Pendle Hill.

Pendle Vale College
PVC is one of the completed BSF projects bestowed on East Lancashire after the civil disturbances of 2001. Now with a new government, most BSF projects have been shelved and public services will be cut, leading to...civil disturbances!
Walkers: Just Me
Time taken: 1hr, that's a par score for this walk.
Route: From the roadside, up the track and across the plateau, down the steps back to the car.
Weather and conditions: Sunny spells, rather breezy on top.
Greetings Count: I counted 24, 23 of whom acknowledged me; six were cyclists carrying their bikes up the steps. The largest group was one of three ladies who were happily chatting away on their descent. A busy evening on Pendle Hill.
Take me back to the start ....
