Molly on top of Pendle Hill
Ah! The joys of walking on your own doorstep, more or less - just a few minutes drive from home to the start point. A fine, sunny and warm day and plenty of energy and enthusiasm for a fine Pendle walk.
To Barley
It's a pleasant short walk from Roughlee to Barley along the river and past some fine cottages.
Lower Ogden Reservoir
Upper Ogden Reservoir
Sometimes, the simplest views on days such as this need the least explanation.
Ogden Clough
Today's route follows the stream in the clough for almost as far as it goes.

Barley Fields
Friends of mine drove for two hours today to get to Windermere and then it took another two hours to find somewhere to park. There is a fantastic choice of walks and views in East Lancashire and parking is not normally a problem.
