Pendle Summit
Another Sunday - sunshine and snow, what more could we ask for? Pendle 25 for this year!
The evening before there was a snow shower in these parts - the photo on the left was taken just after sunset and the one on the right is taken just as the sun rises on Sunday.

Barley Waterworks - Converting to Homes |
All quiet at 0800hrs and my first walk past the former waterworks for several months. The conversion has created seven homes and the guide price is £295,000 ... each! No garden (maybe a bit in the dark at the back), little in the way of parking, no views, lots of nosey walkers - join the queue - and the odd thing is ... they will all sell and maybe the residents will be happy here. I suppose it depends on who you are living with.
Lower Ogden Reserovir
Barley Hill
Upper Ogden Reservoir
What a fab morning for a walk, all this just 20 minutes drive from home. We were up on top yesterday (Saturday) and cloud was just clearing on that occasion - this is quite a different day with less wind and more sunshine.
Boar Clough
It's hard to believe that within a month all this could be green and the flies could be back and the scrambler bikes will return to continue to destroy habitats and the landscape - but who cares? Not LCC nor the local police for two.
Pendle Summit
0920hrs and it's peaceful up here. Mist in the valleys beyond to the north-east. Pen-y-Ghent over there to the left of the trig.

Molly in the Snow
Is the last walk we will have in the snow before the warmer weather comes?
Late Starters
We walked back to Barley and passed plenty of walkers heading up that way.
Barley Mow
Keen observors will notice that all the snow has now melted off the front of Pendle Hill; cynics will think this photo is from the library and a different day, but it isn't.
