~Pendle Hill~

Pendle Summit
Shower Cloud
Sunday lunchtime and the view from the fields behind our house sets the scene for the afternoon. A cumulonimbus shower cloud is on the march across East Lancashire and has our name on it. A couple of hours later, Molly and I head for the slopes of Pendle Hill.
Pendle House Lane
Starting off from the roadside at 15:10hrs, the lane to Pendle House is brightly lit between the showers.

Ascending up the track and there is a little more cloud than I would have liked over to the west, but looking north-east and east, the picture is brighter. It's windy!
To The Summit
Lancashire Walking Group
The LWG from Wigan proudly stand at the summit of Pendle Hill. I don't think that the flag has anything to do with them.
The Flag
Someone has planted a flag, does anyone recognise the design? (does anyone read this website?). I suppose the flag will have gone by the time I walk past here again.
Pendle Sunset
Well, not quite the sunset, but not far off.

Last Look
Soon enough we were heading back to the wall and the route down the steps.
The Lancashire Walking Group self-explanatory, if you click the link.
