Gridwork
This evening's Pendle walk coincided with a little child-minding. So nephew, Matthew, came along with me. Start time of 17:45hrs.
North-East from Pendle Ascent
Bit of a gamble this evening and we've both brought coats.
Steep Climb up Pendle
At Matthew's request, we left the path and went straight up, not something I usually do!
Pendle Summit
This was Matthew's fourth such climb. His first was with me, eighteen months ago. Today's treat was a cake and yes, it's raining!
Looking West

Looking East
The shower that pestered us on the summit is heading east to the Pennine towns of West Yorkshire.
Walkers: Matthew and Me.
Time taken: 1hr 27mins over a distance of about 2.5 miles.
Route: Roadside, up the track a bit and then straight up , summit, down the steps.
Weather and conditions: Cloudy, then wet on top, clearing later.
Greetings Count: The usual few others were braving the weather and getting some worthwhile exercise.
