~Wycoller~
19th February 2011
Don't expect any sunny intervals in this one. Another dull day and a determination not to burn up too much fuel in order to get somewhere for a walk.
The Fields
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
Ball Grove
I parked at Cotton Tree, nr Trawden and headed for Wycoller, 45 minutes away. Ball Grove is just what you see, a haven for birds that like to get wet.
Laneshawbridge
The walk takes me close to Laneshawbridge, but sticks to the water's edge.
Erosion Review
I keep looking at this scene and wonder how long it will be before the path needs re-routing.
More Erosion
The path crosses a beck at the gate and there's another beck in front of me. I reckon the spur hosting the puddle will be the next to go and more problems for the walkers.
Wintry Scene
Wycoller Cafe
Time for a brew. Sometimes they close for a holiday, but they appear to be remaining open this half-term.
Tree
Flooded Fields
What a crap day!!! Am I allowed to say that? At least it's not raining, but it has been.
Coot
There were two, but wouldn't get close enough for a joint photo.
