St.Andrew's Church
Dire weekend weatherwise, but the skies cleared on Sunday afternoon and I decided that it was not too late for a walk. This area of Burnley, Duke Bar, has been enhanced by the demoltion of many rows of houses. New views have sprung up and this one shows St.Andrew's Church with the chimney of Stanley Mill in the background.
Green Streets
Community relations have been improved by removing the community. Lets have some football pitches!

Reedley Marina
I don't seem to take many canal walks in summer, so it's good to see some colours. Pendle Hill in the distance.
Togtherness
When Mr says he is going fishing, Mrs says she will come too. Doesn't that defeat the object of the exercise? The lady is reading a book.
Robinson Lane, Brierfield
Lob Lane Mill, Brierfield
The old mill is being developed into living accomodation. I'll be taking a look when it's ready - you will be able to see Pendle Hill from the top floor. Also, no garden! No weeds, no mowing, no fence painting.
Lob Lane Mill
And you can watch the sun go down in the evening. There is a downside, which I will discuss with correspondents should the need arise.
Tunstill Mill, Brierfield
Formerly occupied by Smith & Nephew. Not sure about ownership just now. It's time to head up Clitheroe Road on my route home through Brierfield. Firstly a look at Brierfield Railway Station, where Platform 2 is in a state of disrepair.
