Black Moss
Today is one year on from one of the memorable climbs and sunsets of last year. The sky is clear and I'm hopeful of a repeat of the clear view through to the Lakeland Fells.

I was a little early for the sunset, so I took a walk on the Downham side of the fell, from where this photo was taken.

The horizon is a bit hazy, perhaps a portent of the forecast wet weather due tomorrow.

Walkers: Just Me
Time taken: 1hr 16 mins.
Route: From the roadside, up the steps, around the Downham side and then across the plateau, down the track back to the car.
Weather and conditions: Sunny spells, quite cold in a stiff breeze on top.
Greetings Count: Two other walkers on the top.
