River Nidd
We arrived in Pateley Bridge without a lead .. luckily there is a pet shop on the main street. Most leads are sold to folk like me who leave theirs at home. It seemed like a good idea to get Molly's legs stretched before we went for something to eat and so we headed north for a short distance - up the riverside.
Trees of The Nidd
Molly has taken to water really well, so have the duckilngs.
Wildings Tea Room
Dog owners are welcome to sit outside - with their dogs, I might add. Food was good, we are getting used to life with Molly and the mealtime adjustments required.
Pateley Bridge
Pleasant little market town in Nidderdale with lots of cafes, a few pubs and a pet shop. Our main walk will take us over the "panorama" route to Glasshouses.
Up the main street and then off to the right on a signposted track climbing to give fine views over the valley.
Gouthwaite Reservoir
Bewerley Park Outdoor Centre
The "panoramic" views were hindered by a washed-out sky. Soon we reached Knottside Farm and started to descend down to the B6165. The walk crosses the road and then takes a footpath down to Glasshouses.

Railway Route?
I think that the Nidd Valley Railway would have run to the left of this building and along where the white van is - the gable end of the house behind the van is clearly an extension.
