28th December 2014
Snow fell overnight 26th / 27th December and Molly had her longest ever breakfast walk - 90 minutes in the snow around the area known as Marsden Heights, close to Nelson Golf Course. These photos are taken the day prior to the Pendle walk in the title and that which is reported below.
Sunrise at 08:46hrs
The early sun lights up Pendle Hill and the open area where scores of dogs are walked comes back into view. Another view of the early sun is taken over High Withens Farm.

Pendle Hill on 28th December
And so, the day after those photos from 27th December, Karen, Molly and me head for Pendle Hill for a walk in the snow. The walk started at 11:25hrs.
Molly and Smudge
Heading up the track, we meet Smudge and family.
We could have travelled further today, but why bother when this is so close to home? Busy!
Karen, Molly and a Snowperson
The summit is a hectic place, everyone seems to be taking photos nowadays!
Snow on The Bowland Fells
Black Moss Reservoirs
This walk took 1hr and 45mins, a leisurely look at Pendle in white. Later, Molly and I went back up the fields to watch the sun going down.
Sunset from Home
The sun sets at 15:40hrs over Hameldon Hill.
Another Sunday, another Pendle, another sunset ....
* sunrise photo was shared on Flickr and as of today (29th) it has clocked up over 5,000 views !
