Newchurch-in-Pendle
Izzy the Dog and I started this walk from Newchurch. It's a fine, sunny Saturday!
The Target
Above left shows Black Moss Reservoirs from the field leading to Fell Wood and on the right is the view back to Lower Ogden Reservoir as we leave the woods.
Izzy in Ogden Clough
The OC route is generally quiet and it didn't disappoint today, we're yet to greet anyone.
The Crossing Point
All Quiet
The Flags
We were passed by four runners with two dogs, one called "Pendle".
The Bowland Fells
Pendle Summiteers
Everyone seems to be taking photos nowadays!

Not much changes from one Pendle walk to the next, so the different walkers and the sky colour changes are always welcome.
Looking East
The view to the east shows the two reservoirs of Black Moss (drinking water) and Foulridge Lower Reservoir (canal feeder).

And down the steps, across the fields, heading for Barley.

Pendle Hill
One of my favourite views to Pendle Hill. If you look hard enough, you will see Lower Ogden Reservoir ... and you might see a face looking north along the steep fellside.
Walkers: Me and Izzy The Dog
Time taken: 3hrs 20 mins over a distance of about 7 miles.
Route: Newchurch, Fell Wood, Ogden Reservoirs, Ogden Clough, Summit, Steps, fields to Barley, Heys Lane and up and over to Newchurch.
