Pendle Summit
Scroll down for photos and a description of the walk....
Pendle as the Sun Rises
The very first of this year's photos of Pendle Hill. The summit area is illuminated by the rising sun, somewhere behind me.
Lower Ogden Reservoir
Starting at 08:50hrs from Barley car park, I headed up past the Ogden Reservoirs, optimistic that for the first time this year, there may be clear views from the top. It's been dire! Yesterday could have been OK, but I was engaged elsewhere.
Upper Ogden Reservoir
A few cold nights and this calm water is likely to freeze over.
Feeding Time
The farmer sounded his horn and the sheep came rushing down the fields.
Boar Clough Route
I headed up Boar Clough and then onto the plateau where misty cloud has drifted in.
The Summit
Radio Ham
Up here was a man using his radio to talk to folk he doesn't know and has never met. He could have stayed in, kept warm and used facebook to do much the same thing.
Pendle Summiteer
Pendle Plateau
Up here I met "old" footballing team-mate, Ian, and we comapred notes. Recently he climbed Pendle Hill 104 times in one year, that put me in my place! The misty cloud is moving on and the views are good.

Pendle Climbers
Pendle enthusiast, Julie, is on the left of the two heading up the steps. Those two sitting down need to shape up, they're not even half way!

Pendle Across Lower Black Moss Reservoir
Barley Centre
More wispy cloud is pestering the top of Pendle, it almost looks as though it's on fire.
