Pendle Hill from Roughlee
A rather grey start to the day and no reason to burn fuel looking for somewhere different or new, save those for brighter days.

A start time of 09:10hrs from Roughlee and the walk heads up the field (above right) and aims for Scar Top.

The dam at Upper Ogden Reservoir is just visible with Spence Moor in the background.

Light snow is falling and it's bleak with a brisk easterly wind.

Today's route would follow Ogden Clough all the way to Barley.

I called in at The Cabin, Barley Car Park. Just in time, because a full division of the Rossendale & Pendle MRT on exercise decided it was time for a break.

The Walk Back to Roughlee
Walkers: Just Me.
Time taken: 4 hours 25 minutes over a distance of about 9 miles.
Route: Roughlee, Scar Top, Black Moss, Windy Harbour, Pendle Side, The Steps, Summit, Flags, Ogden Clough, Barley, Roughlee
Weather: Grey, cool and plenty of light snow along with a chilly wind.
Greetings: Quite a few in Ogden Clough, everyone grinning and bearing it!
Refreshments: Taken at The Cabin as usual :-)
