Black Moss Reservoirs

Black Moss Reservoirs

A bit of a rush to get to the area in time, but I choose the shortest route and have high hopes of some decent sunset photos.

Pendle Sunset

Sunset and Stile

Perma-puddle is well stocked. We get plenty of rain in East Lancashire but seem to avoid the floods suffered elsewhere due to the fact that we don't have populated flood plains.

These clever dogs I have had the pleasure of walking with are getting the hang of sitting next to trig points and keeping still.

Pendle Sunsets

If one "Googles" "Pendle Hill", this website doesn't get a look in. However, repeat with "Pendle Sunsets" and I'm in! I don't bother with SEO, so Google and the others find their own way into my website.

Yellow Moon

I suppose the yellowing of the moon is due to sunrays passing through the Earth's atmosphere, but research suggests a "Penumbral" lunar eclispse would have been visible this evening - but only at moon-rise and this is half an hour later.

Walkers: Me 'n Izzy

Time taken: 1hr 10mins over a distance of 2.5 miles.

Routes: Roadside, up the steps, along the top and down the track.

Weather and conditions: Sunny and dry. Very cool - coat and hat weather.

This was Pendle 49 for this year. Watch out for No.50, due next week.
