Every now and again I merge Pendle walk reports. An opportunity to compare and contrast different days/times/routes.

Pluto The Dog

Pluto The Dog

On Thursday 15th, I had the company of Pluto. This energetic 3yr old's master feels he cannot give him enough exercise, so we're having a look at him to see if we can offer him a good home and the right level of activity.

On 15th (right) we walked from the roadside and up the steps, hoping to watch the sunset. On Sunday 18th, I started from Barley car park and walked past Lower Ogden Reservoir before heading up on to the "flank" route.

I decided that Pluto didn't need the tennis ball on the Pendle walk, thinking the walk would be exercise enough. However, he had other ideas and found a stick! Border Collie, through-and-through, he loves to be set a task and work hard.

I'd put the stick beyond use, or so I thought... And on Sunday, radio hams had pitched a tent (just in vew) and were listening for aliens - well Brian Cox isn't allowed to, so someone ought to give it a try.

No Problem!

Is There Anybody Out There?

Imagine aliens seeking out intelligent lifeforms and discovering us lot on Earth, you couldn't make it up. Countless folk still in bed on a lovely sunny morning; some bloke keeps climbing the same hill every week and so it goes on....

On Thursday evening, the light was failing and so there are no more photos. On Sunday morning, the conditions were excellent for walking, I carried on down the steps and then across the fields to Lower Black Moss Reservoir.
