Stanley Mill, Burnley
The night before was arguably a better night for a walk, but instead I went for a drive. This view across Burnley from the footbridge over the railway at Albion Street shows Stanley Mill, where I work. Home is top left, in one of the houses just to the right of the white farmhouse.
Witches Event 18th August
Ordinary walkers might consider giving Pendle Hill a miss next Saturday. An attempt to get a record number of folk dressed as witches on top of th'ill is underway. Proceeds to the local hopsice and it's the anniversarry of the 1612 witches trail. Some local women do not need to hire costumes.
