Pendle Hill
Clear skies for this evening walk, Pendle looks broody as the shadow takes shape.

Lower Ogden Reservoir
As a hosepipe ban starts in southern and eastern England, I take a look at our reservoirs. Both the Ogden Reservoirs' levels are down by a few feet following a dry couple of weeks.
Boar Clough Route
Pendle Summit
Each Easter, a cross is brought up and fixed to the trig point. You may notice snow on the Yorkshire fells. Much of northern england was hit by a nasty little winter storm yesterday and it looks as though some areas received more snow than others. Pendle was breifly covered in the white stuff, but nearly all has melted after today's sunshine.
Pendle Shadow
Pendle at Easter
I'm using a Fuji Finepix S5600 today and haven't quite mastered capturing the sunset. The Panasonic's that I've had for a year or two had a preset "sunset" facility and made life easy!
Pendle Walkers
No time to loiter at the top, it was rather chilly!
Moon over Nelson
Walkers: Just Me
Time taken: 2hrs over a distance of about 5 miles.
Route: Barley, Ogden Reservoirs, Boar Clough, Pendle Summit, The Steps, over the fields and back to Barley.
Weather and conditions: Sunny and cold.
Greetings Count: I passed two others on the way to the top and followed two ladies off the summit. Three and a dog were coming up, so not busy at all. Good Friday (6th) is generally a busy day on Pendle, but the forecast for the weekend does not include much sunshine.
Take me back to the start ....
